Brazil: Ben Goertzel, a US-Brazilian tech executive, predicts that around 80% of human jobs will be replaced by Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the coming years. According to Mr. Goertzel, this transformation will offer individuals the opportunity to engage in more fulfilling activities rather than merely working to earn a living. He holds a positive outlook on this development.
It is anticipated that within the next few years, AI will replace approximately 80% of human tasks, providing individuals with a lifetime opportunity to pursue meaningful actions instead of solely focusing on work. During a Web Summit, Mr. Goertzel emphasized that virtually all jobs involving paperwork have the potential to be automated.
These statements from the tech executive come in the wake of an open letter signed by several tech leaders, including the late Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk. The letter called for a six-month pause on AI development, expressing concerns about the significant risks posed by the rapid advancement of AI technology to humanity and society.
