After announcing ‘Fly Arna’, Air Arabia teamed with one of Pakistan’s largest business conglomerates, Lakson Group, to develop a low-cost airline dubbed ‘Fly Jinnah’

The proposed joint venture will establish a low-cost airline covering internal and international routes from Pakistan and catering to the country’s 220 million inhabitants.
Fly Jinnah will be the third airline to enter Pakistan’s rapidly expanding aviation sector, following SereneAir and Air Sial. Additionally, Alvir Airways obtained a license to conduct domestic flights within the country.
Pakistan International Airlines is the sole publicly traded airline in the nation, whereas airblue is the oldest functioning private airline.
Jet Green Airline and Q-Airlines are also pursuing an AOC from the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan.

IATA estimates that the air transport industry, including airlines and its supply chain, as well as tourism expenditures, contribute $3.3 billion to Pakistan’s GDP.
About one percent of the country’s gross domestic product is supported by inputs to the air transport sector and international air travelers.
