Anti-Encroachment Drive in Sukkur
In various Sukkur neighbourhoods, an anti-encroachment campaign has been initiated.

Some groups of encroachers attempted to provide resistance, but police pushed them away, according to municipal officials.
The anti-encroachment drive was led by Municipal Administrator Ali Raza Ansari, and the Sukkur Municipal Corporation bulldozed a large number of concrete structures, including houses, shops, hotels, and warehouses, built on storm-water drains and nullahs in the neighbourhoods of Shahi Bazaar, Frere Road, Thala Chowk, Qadri Masjid, Jinnah Chowk, Camp Road, and Mall Godown Road.

In Jacobabad city, a similar effort was begun, although only tiny constructions were removed from storm-water drains and nullahs.
Residents in the operation area and activists from various political parties, nationalist organisations, and social welfare organisations said that private structures on government-owned lands near DC Chowk were not affected by the operation.
