Anti-Encroachment Operation Ongoing at Margalla Hills

According to recent news sources, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) continue their anti-encroachment campaign against illegally constructed infrastructure in the Margalla Hills.

Three days ago, as part of the ongoing anti-encroachment campaign, the authorities dismantled a number of illegally constructed structures in the Gokina and Talhar regions of Margalla Hills. According to a CDA employee who oversaw the anti-encroachment operation, these include several dwellings and boundary walls.

The initiative is part of the CDA’s ongoing anti-encroachment strategy to prevent illegal encroachment on Margalla Hills and to combat land speculators who use the protected property for commercial purposes.

According to CDA authorities, it was difficult to move the heavy equipment in the rugged terrain of the Margalla Hills, but the operation was successful. According to reports, the authorities also spoke with the people, who agreed to lend their full cooperation in the fight against the land mafia.
