Anti-Encroachment Planned in Kaghan Valley to Promote Tourism
According to news sources, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has planned to undertake an anti-encroachment campaign in the Kaghan Valley in the coming days in an effort to attract domestic and foreign tourists.

The anti-encroachment campaign, according to Deputy Commissioner Dr. Qasim Ali Khan, has been planned from Kaghan to Naran. Along the road Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad, all constructions will be removed. The deputy commissioner informed reporters that the National Highway Authority (NHA), tehsil and district administrations, police, and the WAPDA will all participate in the anti-encroachment effort.
In a separate development, Hazara Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud instructed the Kaghan Development Authority (KDA) to make the Kaghan and Naran valleys more appealing to tourists during a review meeting. The commissioner ordered that the projects be completed on schedule.

During the discussion, several projects, including the Batakundi Lalazar chairlift and a 7-kilometer-long pony track, were considered. In addition, the commissioner has instructed the deputy commissioner of Mansehra to monitor the region’s short- and long-term operations.
In addition, the KDA Director General provided an update on the progress of initiatives, such as the removal of encroachments and illegal structures along the N15 and river bed, the prevention of pollution by restaurants and hotels near the Kunhar River, and the protection of national parks.
