Approval of Construction of Underpass at Samanabad Mor 1
Lahore: According to our sources, the provincial government received a proposal on Monday, November 29, 2021, from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA). The plan called for an underpass to be built at Mor Samanabad. LDA Engineering Wing has handed the Punjab government a Project Concept-1 (PC-1) with a PKR 1.39 billion budget for final clearance.
According to the project, a 500-meter-long, full-height underpass will be constructed to address the traffic problems at Samanabad Mor, which leads to Gulshan-e-Ravi. The project’s tender will be released by the LDA as soon as CM Usman Buzdar gives his approval.

Hasaan Khawar, the chief minister of Punjab’s special assistant, said in a media interview that the project is a component of the Lahore Package. The development of the three renowned underpasses as well as four flyovers is part of the Lahore Package. One of the underpasses, the “Gulab Devi Underpass,” has already begun construction. The traffic through this underpass will shortly be allowed. The LDA has specified December 20, 2021 as the date.
