Army Chief Vows Economic Development, Peace in Balochistan
General Qamar Javed Bajwa, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), has stated that the Pakistan Army will exert every effort to bring about a lasting peace for the socioeconomic development of Balochistan.
The army chief made a comment while visiting the Corps Headquarters in Quetta, according to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

A thorough briefing on the security situation, operational readiness, and border management, including fencing along the Pakistan-Afghanistan and Pakistan-Iran borders, was presented to the COAS.
According to the military’s media wing, Gen. Qamar was also informed of the socioeconomic initiatives the army has made to support the Balochistani government as well as ongoing efforts to increase the capacity of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) to maintain peace and stability.
