To Assess South Balochistan Development Program’s Progress
Asad Umar, the Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives, presided over a meeting to review the status of the South Balochistan Development Plan’s projects and was pleased with their development.

Phase-I of the South Balochistan Development Package (SBDP) has been successfully completed, culminating in the listing of approved projects in PSDP 2021-22 and the allocation of funds in accordance with the prime minister’s vision for the development of Pakistan’s disadvantaged and underdeveloped areas.
Planning Minister Asad Umer inspected the development of Phase II of the Southern Balochistan Development Plan and expressed satisfaction with the progress of SBDP projects in an effort to expedite the implementation of sanctioned projects.

While reviewing the status of new projects to be funded through the Federal Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), the minister of planning noted that 90% of the projects, or Rs 234.315 billion, have been approved and included in the Federal PSDP 2021-22, with Rs 25.721 billion allocated in the current fiscal year.
Similarly, the budget for various authorized and ongoing PSDP projects totaling Rs. 274.689 billion for the current fiscal year is Rs. 29.160 billion.
