Asad Umar Confirms Karachi Green Line Project Launch Date
The Green Line BRT project in Karachi will begin operations in either August or September, according to the federal minister for planning, development, reforms, and special initiatives, Asad Umar.

The removal of the Mehmoodabad Nala and encroachments would happen before July, according to Minister Umar.
For the Green Line and Orange Line Bus Rapid Transport (BRT) projects in Karachi, 100 units of 18-meter-long buses from the Chinese bus manufacturer Zhongtong would be provided. These buses will run on the BRT lines and be green and orange in colour.

In other developments, Minister Umar disclosed that the projected growth rate for Pakistan for the coming year is 4.8%. These routes are now being tested for safety by the concerned Chinese authorities.
