At Paklaunch’s flagship event, aik partnered with BankIslami to support the country’s tech ecosystem and promote collaborative growth. The two-day gathering in Islamabad brought together founders, investors, and policymakers to discuss Pakistan’s startup landscape, with a strong focus on fintech, artificial intelligence, and emerging digital investment trends.
During the discussion, Ashfaque Ahmed emphasized the urgent need to modernize financial infrastructure to improve how individuals and entrepreneurs interact with banking services. He noted that simplifying the user experience is essential to making ethical, Shariah-compliant banking more accessible and inclusive. By leveraging technology, financial institutions can better reach underserved segments of the population and integrate Islamic banking into everyday digital life.
He added that the ultimate goal is to create a seamless and user-friendly banking experience, where ethical finance becomes a natural part of the modern economy. According to him, innovation and accessibility will play a key role in ensuring the continued growth of Islamic banking in Pakistan’s rapidly evolving financial landscape.
