Balochistan to Get High-profit Share in Reko Diq Project
Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo, chief minister of Balochistan, reportedly said on Friday (January 21) that the provincial government will receive a larger profit share from the Reko Diq project. The previous percentage of 2% has been increased to 3%.

According to published accounts, the minister stated that the federal government had acquired interests in a company that had abandoned the project at the request of the provincial government. Prior to the commencement of the project, the additional shares will be transferred to the government of Balochistan. Contractors on the Reko Diq project have also been asked to donate PKR 40 billion to public infrastructure and community development programs. The funds will be expended prior to the commencement of the project.
