Taxila: To inspect the availability of food goods, particularly vegetables, fruits, sugar, and flour, and to assess the quality and quantity of the items, Deputy Commissioner Attock Imran Hamid Sheikh paid a surprise visit to a Sahulat Bazaar in Hazro.

He was accompanied by Sheharyar Arif Khan, an additional deputy commissioner for revenue, as well as other members of the municipal committee and the local government.
He looked over several areas of the market, including the fruit and vegetable stands, and examined the standard and supply of flour, sugar, and pulses.
Mr. Sheikh gave instructions to the bazaar’s management to increase food offerings, improve cleanliness, and arrange for the purchase of sugar and flour at official prices. He requested that fixed prices be implemented as soon as possible from the local government.

The Punjab government has instructed field officers to activate Sahulat bazaars at the tehsil level and it must be ensured that basic commodities are available there at reduced prices. This is done to ensure that essential commodities, particularly flour and sugar, are available in the province at fixed prices.
He claimed that the Punjab government gave instructions for open courts to be held on the first working day of every month in an effort to bring the people’s outmoded revenue system up to speed. People are encouraged to go to these courts for redress of grievances.
