BOI Presents Sialkot-Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway Project to UNDP
According to media sources, the Board of Investment (BoI) of Islamabad presented the first two phases of the Sialkot-Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway project to the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) Investment Fair for international investors.

National Highway Authority would support the first two sections of the Sialkot-Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway project, which was presented during the conference (NHA). The project will connect industrial cities, including as Wazirabad, Sialkot, and Gujrat, as said.
Additionally, the initiative will reduce migration pressure on large cities by creating thousands of jobs in forty industries allied to the construction sector.
In addition, the secretary of the Board of Investment announced that the Sialkot-Kharian Motorway project will be extended to Rawalpindi in the next phase. According to reports, this initiative will reduce corporate costs and boost commercial transit connectivity.

It was revealed that it will be a four-lane expansion of the Sialkot-Kharian Motorway. The Lahore-Sialkot-Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway network will be completed with the development of the Kharian-Rawalpindi region. This initiative will connect SME centers in order to increase production and job possibilities.
