British Council Doubles The Scholarships for Pakistani Students
The Scotland Pakistan Scholarship Programme for Young Women and Girls was created in 2013 with the goal of supporting young women in Pakistan to access secondary and higher education. The program has been working to address the gender gap in education and increase access to education for girls from low-income families.
Recently, Neil Gray, the Minister for Foreign Development of the Scottish Government, has announced a significant increase in funding for the program. An additional £500,000 will be allocated to double the number of school and university scholarships available to women and girls in the worst flood-affected areas of Pakistan.
