Business Facilitation Centre to be Operational Soon in Faisalabad

Faisalabad: In Faisalabad, the “Business Facilitation Center” will open for business shortly. Recently, it was announced by Mr. Ehsan Bhutta, the Provincial Secretary (PS) of Industries, Commerce, Investment & Skill Development (ICISD), that the much-needed facilities of the Faisalabad Business Facilitation Centre (FBFC) will soon be available. The eligible businesses will receive NOCs from 17 departments.

It was disclosed during a meeting of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) that the government intends to help companies by issuing “No Objection Certificates (NOC)” in a matter of 10 to 30 days. The following 17 departments will collaborate to accomplish this goal and set up shop in the center to expedite the procedure, among other things:

FDA
Environment
Forests
Tourism
Local Government
Labour
WASA
Housing
Social Security
TEPA
Irrigation

Attending the meeting, PS Bhutta acknowledged the difficulties the business community faces. According to him, federal departments are responsible for 70% of the problems, provincial departments for 30%, and local government difficulties for a little percentage. He did, however, voice optimism that the FBFC will be instrumental in resolving these problems.

Additionally, “Gas and Electricity,” the government agencies will take part in this program as well. PS Bhutta stressed that the FBFC staff will be managing the remaining procedures, and that the application process for prospective investors will be made simpler. To improve efficiency and transparency, the Industries department has provided a detailed list of required papers and pricing structures. To reduce the need for repeated visits, a clear monitoring mechanism has been put in place. Applicants can use it to monitor their progress online.
