Camp Set up to Provide Free Eye Treatment
A camp in Islamabad gave free eye care to as many as 800 individuals in Banigala and its surrounding areas.

Society for the Advancement of Community, Health, Education, and Training (Sachet-Pakistan) arranged the camp with the assistance of Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital, Rawalpindi. Men, women, and children visited the camp, and some patients were referred to the Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital for free cataract operations.
The camp was established to give superior eye care to the underprivileged populace of Islamabad district. In addition to a free outpatient department (OPD) at the camp, free medicines, eyeglasses, computerized eyesight testing, and specialist consultation were also offered.
Since 1999, Sachet-Pakistan, a registered social development organization working under the patronage of Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan, has endeavored to serve Pakistan’s underprivileged sector.

The Al-Shifa Trust Eye Hospital was founded in 1985 with the purpose of preventing and controlling blindness by offering economical and high-quality eye treatment. The hospital has treated around 20.5 million patients, and 600,000 procedures have been performed.
