Cases to Be Filed Against Developers of Illegally Buildings SBCA
According to our sources, on Tuesday, December 14th, the Sindh High Court (SHC) ordered the Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) to file cases against the builders and architects of illegally constructed buildings in the city.

The SHC has directed the SBCA to file criminal charges against the owners and developers of illegal buildings, as well as to eliminate illegal construction and take action against the engineers involved in building development.
In addition, the court requested that the 2019 approval for construction provided by SBCA be recorded. The authority’s Deputy Director also submitted a compliance report about any illegal construction in Nazimabad. There is an illegally constructed four-story building that has been ordered to cut all utility connections.

Permission to study the report was granted to Syed Mehboob Hashmi in 2019, however, he passed away in 1989, as noted by two benched judges. The court further ordered the violation to be met with severe punishment.
