ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) is moving forward with the possession process for developed plots in Sector C-14 Islamabad, as infrastructure work in the sector approaches completion.
The latest progress follows a review by CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad Sohail Ashraf, during which officials assessed the development status of the sector. Basic infrastructure has been completed, while electricity-related work is reportedly in its final stage.
The sector has also seen the installation of light poles and road signs along major roads and streets, while landscaping and horticulture activities are continuing.
CDA had earlier reported substantial progress on the physical development of C-14. A public notice subsequently confirmed that 558 plots were available for possession, allowing eligible allottees to begin the formal process through the authority’s Estate Management Directorate.
The move toward possession marks an important transition for allottees, taking the sector beyond development work and closer to practical residential use. Physical possession can also allow owners to inspect their plots, plan construction and assess infrastructure on the ground.
Allottees are advised to complete the required formalities and verify their allotment records, outstanding payments, plot dimensions and possession documentation before starting construction or transferring their property.
For prospective buyers, the progress in C-14 may reduce some of the uncertainty associated with developing sectors. However, property values will continue to depend on factors such as plot location, size, road access, utility availability and overall market conditions.
As possession progresses, the pace of construction and completion of remaining utility work will be key indicators of the sector’s transition toward active residential development.
