ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has announced the auction of five hotel plots in Islamabad, with the bidding scheduled for September 26, 2026, at the Jinnah Convention Centre.
The auction will begin at 10:00 AM and will offer hotel development sites at several prominent locations across the capital.
Five Hotel Sites to Be Offered
The plots included in the auction are located in D-12 Markaz, F-5/1, E-11 and along Srinagar Highway.
The properties include Plot No. 22 in D-12 Markaz, Convention Centre Hotel Plot No. 6 and Five-Star Hotel Plot No. 8 in F-5/1. Another hotel site is situated on the E-11 Northern Strip, while the fifth plot is located on Srinagar Highway between the Sports Complex and Margalla Hotel.
Payment and Building Approval Terms
Under the announced auction conditions, successful bidders will be offered a one-year payment facility.
CDA will allow building-plan approval once 25 percent of the total bid amount has been paid. Possession of an auctioned plot will be provided after payment of 75 percent of the total price, subject to submission of a bank guarantee covering the outstanding amount.
The authority has also announced incentives for buyers who settle their payments early. A 5 percent rebate will be available to bidders making full payment within 30 days. Payments made in US dollars will qualify for an additional 5 percent rebate under the announced terms.
Facilities for Overseas Investors
Overseas Pakistanis and other eligible overseas investors will be able to obtain auction tokens at least one day before the bidding date.
CDA has also stated that payments can be made through Roshan Digital Accounts or local banking channels, providing additional payment options for overseas participants.
Infrastructure Support for Hotel Development
The authority has indicated that supporting infrastructure will also be facilitated for the hotel plots. This includes arrangements for independent access roads and assistance with relocating electricity lines where required.
CDA will also facilitate sewerage improvements and other related infrastructure services associated with the development of the sites.
Auction Terms for Prospective Bidders
The auction provides investors with access to hotel development sites in established and strategically located parts of Islamabad. However, prospective bidders should review the complete CDA auction documents before participating.
Bidders should also assess the applicable development conditions, payment schedule, building requirements, infrastructure arrangements and any other obligations attached to individual plots before submitting offers.
