The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has reduced the transfer fee on properties under its jurisdiction in Islamabad.
Previously, the fee was set at 3% of a property’s value, as determined by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). It has now been cut to just 1%, providing significant relief to buyers and sellers.
The decision was made during the CDA Board’s third meeting held on April 9, 2026, and has come into effect immediately.
This move revises an earlier notification issued on July 1, 2025.
Authorities have advised all stakeholders to carry out property transfers under the new, reduced rates without delay.
