News from Islamabad: A major step forward in the city’s technical development has been achieved with the approval of Pakistan’s largest IT park’s building by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) in Islamabad.
The project, which occupies a spacious 3.3 acres in Sector G-10, is expected to completely transform Islamabad’s IT scene. With a total floor area of 100,000 square feet, the IT park’s core is intended to house between 5,000 and 6,000 independent contractors, potentially contributing significantly to the local economy.
The Islamabad IT Park operates on the basis of a public-private partnership model and strives to offer favorable working conditions for startups, software houses, independent contractors, and small and medium-sized enterprises. This project aims to create an environment that encourages creativity and cooperation in the IT industry while meeting the growing need for modern office space.

Essential facilities, including a library, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and research facilities, are integral to the project. In addition, specific spaces will be set aside to promote IT products, encourage industry innovation, and facilitate collaboration.
Furthermore, CDA Member Technology Nauman Khalid has affirmed in this recent report that the project will be financed independently of CDA or government funds. After fifteen years, CDA will fully control the park upon completion. To maximize cooperation and guarantee the project’s success, talks are still ongoing with the Pakistan Software Export Board and the Ministry of Technology.
