CDA, ICCI to Establish New Industrial Estate in Islamabad
According to news reports, Amir Ali Ahmed, chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), and the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) want to develop a new industrial estate in the federal capital of Islamabad.

Chairman Ahmed said that the ICCI would develop the proposal for the new industrial park and pass it over to the CDA so that it can be presented to the relevant government agencies.
In addition, the CDA chairman stated that road carpeting has begun in the Kahuta Triangle Industrial Area. He assured the ICCI delegation that the remaining tasks would soon be completed. He added that the opening of bids for the creation of parking plazas in marketplaces has also commenced.

According to the head of the ICCI, the new industrial estate would generate hundreds of new employment, attract new investment, and advance industrialization. ICCI claimed that CDA would assist them in resolving the problems that have arisen during the lease renewal process for industrial plots. He continued by stating that CDA should permit the subdivision of industrial plots to promote industrial activities.
