CDA Issued Notice to Illegal Buildings on Park Road
ISLAMABAD, February 02, 2023- CDA handed letters to the owners of 39 constructions on Park road in Islamabad. The owners have two weeks to bring their structures into compliance, or they will be penalized.
The CDA has requested that all building owners on Park Road repair damaged properties within 15 days of receiving notice. The law would take action if they did not reply or get their land and structures in order. According to the notice, the CDA will have the authority to seal off landowners’ properties or demolish their structures if they fail to comply with the guidelines or react within the specified time limit. It was noted that the notices were distributed to multiple locations, including housing complexes and public buildings (hospitals, schools, and shopping malls).
It is crucial to note that the CDA has just released a report on operations and efforts to prevent encroachment in 2022. The authority has reportedly conducted over 1,100 operations in the city, demolishing hundreds of unlawful constructions and recovering important public land.
