CDA, MCI Take Over Eight Sports Grounds from Clubs
Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) and the Urban Corporation of Islamabad (MCI) already own eight sports grounds for cricket clubs and individuals.

CDA/MCI officials said all land and parks in the city are owned by civil authorities and no one has the authority to operate these facilities. They said that out of a total of 11 lots, 8 have been taken over and the rest will soon be under the control of civil authorities.
Another MCI official said that when finalizing the new policy, clubs and locals should be prioritized and a transparent policy should be in place to avoid misuse of land because in the past, a who will lease them to various parties, including businesses.

However, the operators of the two clubs filed a lawsuit in the Islamabad High Court, but Chief Justice Athar Minallah dismissed both lawsuits and ordered the petitioners to leave the premises and hand over the assets. to the competent authority.
