ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has recovered more than 1,000 kanals of land in Islamabad’s Sector E-12 after a long-standing dispute that had delayed development in the area.
The recovered land is considered high-value and is reportedly worth billions of rupees. Its clearance is expected to remove a major obstacle to further development in the sector.

The recovery was carried out through coordination between the CDA, Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad, Islamabad administration and police. The joint effort focused on clearing the land and enabling development activities to move forward.
Development work is already progressing in Sector E-12. Road construction and other basic infrastructure works are underway as the CDA moves ahead with development plans for the sector.
The authority has been working to address longstanding issues that affected development in E-12. The sector has remained incomplete for decades, making land clearance an important step for future infrastructure work.

The CDA said development activities are continuing under the supervision of its chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad. The authority is also coordinating with relevant departments to support ongoing work in the capital.
Further progress will depend on the completion of planned infrastructure and other administrative and development requirements. The latest land recovery provides additional space for development, subject to applicable planning and legal procedures.
