CDA to make Gandhara Heritage Centre functional

Islamabad: According to news reports, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has chosen to operationalize and make public the Gandhara Heritage and Culture and Convention Centre at Sector F-9 Citizen Club.

In this regard, the CDA has chosen three private individuals to the management committee (MG), which will be in charge of managing and operating the heritage property. The federal government has been sent the final summary asking for approval of the committee’s name. After receiving approval from the federal government, the MG committee will be finished and will start leading multiple initiatives.

The center will be used for meetings, exhibits, and the provision of athletic amenities including a gym, according to the CDA. The facility will also have a museum showcasing Gandhara culture in addition to club amenities.

Upon payment of membership dues, the club’s numerous services will also be available to the general public. The general public will have access to the following facilities:

A fitness center with a monthly membership price of PKR 12,000
Access to tennis courts for a monthly membership cost of PKR 5,000
Access to a swimming pool for a monthly membership cost of PKR 5,000

Customers will be required to put down a security deposit of PKR 50,000, and the CDA anticipates making PKR 972 million in annual revenue from these services.
