Rawalpindi Arts Council to organise Gandhara Festival 2023
Rawalpindi: According to news reports, the Rawalpindi Arts Council has announced plans to hold a two-day Gandhara Festival.
Exhibitions, panel talks, storytelling sessions, a documentary on the history of the civilization, a book market, a folk dance, and a Sufi night will all be part of the event, which will take place at the Gandhara Centre and Taxila Museum.

Additionally, a five-day art exhibition will be hosted at the Rawalpindi Arts Council and will be opened by Malik Taimoor Masood, the provincial minister for sports and culture.

Director of the Rawalpindi Arts Council Waqar Ahmed told the media that the festival and exhibition were organised to highlight the Gandhara civilisation, which existed in what is now northern Pakistan and Afghanistan from the middle of the first millennium BCE to the beginning of the second millennium CE.
