CDA Told to Digitize Record by September
Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz has instructed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to digitize its records by September 30.

The ombudsman also urged the chairman of the CDA to adopt stringent measures and ensure that all regulatory authorities – whether the CDA or any other authority – have completed their formalities before any new government or private housing project is initiated. The ombudsman presided over a CDA meeting to examine the progress of ongoing projects in Islamabad.
Work has begun on the Margalla Highway, which will connect G.T. Road with M-1. In addition, he stated that work had begun on I.J. Principal Road and the Bhara Kahu bypass, that the Rawal Dam Chowk and 7th Avenue interchanges were under construction, and that the PWD interchange was nearing completion.

The CDA chairman stated that redundant committees, such as the fraudulent committee and the scrutiny committee, are being eliminated and the system is being streamlined for the sake of residents.
The ombudsman also requested that the CDA rectify problems in other private sectors, including as Jinnah Town and Ghauri Town, where daily complaints were received from residents.
