CDWP to Approve PC-1 of District Courts Complex
Islamabad: The law ministry has notified the Islamabad High Court (IHC) that the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) will approve the PC-1 of the District Courts Complex in Islamabad, which will include 91 courts and ancillary amenities for litigants.

During the hearing of the petition requesting the construction of courts complex in the federal capital, Secretary of Law Raja Naeem Akbar appeared before IHC Chief Judge Athar Minallah.
The court was also made aware of the allocation of two five-acre sites for the development of separate judicial complexes for the District’s west and east, respectively.

While one of the plots is empty, the Islamabad High Court has temporarily been erected on the other.
According to him, the plot is owned by the Ministry of Law and Justice, and the building’s planning and construction are subject to strict adherence to the rules that are in effect.
The district courts, which primarily serviced individuals who were not privileged, were noted by the top justice as being the most significant level of the judicial branch.
