Cement Sales Raised by 40.41% in April 2021
The cement industry in Pakistan recorded a strong growth of 40.41% in April 2021 compared to April 2020.
According to data released by All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA), total cement sales in April 2021 reached 4.943 million tonnes compared to 3.52 million tonnes in the same month of the previous financial year. .

Domestic cement sales in April 2021 increased to 4.066 million tons from 3.271 million tons in April 2020, showing a healthy increase of 24.29%. Exports also increased significantly by 252%, from 249,127 tons in April 2020 to 877,163 tons in April 2021.

In April 2021, Northern cement factories exported 3.377 million tons of cement to the domestic market, up 15.33% compared to the ex-works level of 2.928 million tons in April 2020. Southern factories transported 688,239 tons of cement to the market in April 2020, a sharp increase of 100% compared to the export volume of 342,594 tons in April 2020.
