Chinese Firm to Help Execute Solar Power Projects
Lahore: The Punjab government and a Chinese company have entered into an agreement whereby the latter, as part of its corporate responsibility, is obligated to complete a number of solar power promotion micro-schemes.

Under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, the business is now constructing nine (100MW each) solar power projects at the Quaid-i-Azam Solar Park in Bahawalpur, three (300MW) have already been commissioned. The energy department of the Punjab government has also completed a 100MW facility after the Bank of Punjab financed it.
Under CSR, the company (Zonergy Pakistan, a subsidiary of Zonergy Limited China) will complete the following small projects: initiation of an internship program for Bahawalpur’s public sector universities, solarization of two Makhdoom Rashid degree colleges (45KW), solarization of a higher secondary school in Bhaili Multan (15KW), development of two resource centers for training on solar/RE technologies at universities in Bahawalpur and Multan, and installation of solar power
