Chitral’s First-Ever Paragliding Gala Starts Tomorrow
According to published reports, the Chitral district administration will shortly host its first-ever paragliding event in Upper Chitral.

According to the information, nationally renowned paragliders will participate in the three-day event. The paragliders would take off from Zani Pass (4,200 metres) and land in Booni Town, the district capital of Upper Chitral, according to information released.
Mohammad Ali, the deputy commissioner of Upper Chitral, reported that local paragliders have practiced flying from Terich Aan and Zani passes (above 4,000 meters). He stated that no event had been organized to harness the paragliding possibilities of the area. In addition, he disclosed that the ridge separating the Terich and Mulkhow valleys was an ideal location for paragliding with a landing in Booni town.

In addition, the deputy commissioner hoped this event would attract paragliders from all over the world to the base of the Hindukush mountain range. Through this event, Commissioner Ali intends to boost winter tourism, contributing to the region’s economic growth.
