Progress Update on Peshawar’s Mega Development Projects
According to media sources, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan attended a review meeting in Peshawar to assess the development of several uplift projects in the province.

During the meeting, the prime minister instructed the relevant authorities to hasten the progress of ongoing megadevelopment projects.
The following information pertains to the projects discussed at the meeting:
- The Central Development Working Group authorized the Dir and Peshawar-Dera Ishaq Khan Motorway projects (CDWP)
- It was reported that the land acquisition procedure for Swat Motorway Phase II was proceeding.
- Land is being acquired for Chitral-Garam Chashma Road and Chitral-Ayun-Ayun-Bumburet Road.
- A feasibility study for the development of the Bannu Economic Zone was conducted.

- PC-1 has been prepared for the Darabin Economic Zone’s initial phase.
- On eleven access roads leading to Malakand division tourist attractions, construction is now underway.
- A master plan for the construction of four Integrated Tourism Zones has been developed.
