Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has instructed relevant authorities to review three proposed development schemes for possible inclusion in the Annual Development Programme (ADP) 2026-27.
The projects are focused on improving road connectivity, traffic flow and civic infrastructure in different parts of Lahore.
Three Projects Under Consideration
The proposed schemes include the construction and widening of Kitar Band Road between Multan Road and Ghausia Road.
Another major proposal involves the widening and covering of Kharak Nala from Multan Road toward the Motorway. The scheme also includes an access road and a proposed Motorway interchange.
The third project proposes service roads on both sides of the Motorway, connecting Jinnah Terminal with Babu Sabu.
Projects Await Further Review
The Chief Minister’s Office has directed the concerned departments to examine the proposed schemes and prepare a summary for further consideration.
If approved and included in the ADP 2026-27, the projects could improve connectivity and help manage traffic in several areas of Lahore.
However, the schemes are currently under consideration, and their inclusion in the development programme will depend on further assessment and approval.
