Construction Projects for Karachi’s Fishermen Villages Announced
Murad Ali Shah, chief minister of Sindh, has declared that three floating jetties and passenger sheds will be built on the Baba and Bhit islands and in Mubarak Village.
The initiatives will offer the islands, notably Shams Pir, with easy access to the city via a bridge, Murad stated during a reception thrown by fishermen leader Hussain Aslam Bhatti on Bhit Island on Wednesday, according to a news release from the Sindh government.
Murad stated that he has also approved drainage, water supply, and brick road initiatives worth Rs 600 million for the twin islands of Shams Pir and Saulehabad.

The chief minister also assured the fishermen that the Board of Revenue would renew the leases of their villages that were about to expire.
In addition, he instructed Karachi Commissioner Naveed Shaikh to organize a vaccination unit for the island’s fishermen.
