Construction Work on Rawalpindi Dams to be Completed by 2023
Ghulam Sarwar Khan, minister of aviation, stated that five dams being planned to alleviate Rawalpindi’s water scarcity will be completed by 2023.

The minister informed the authorities that work on the Dadocha Dam, Papin Dam, Mahuta Mohra Dam, Mujahid Dam, and Chahan Dam is in full swing, adding that the Punjab government has allocated funds in the 2021-22 ADP for the completion of these projects.
After the completion of the project, according to Sarwar, the dams will irrigate around 30,000 acres of agricultural area, resulting in an increase in crop yields.

Work on the Chahan dam has been completed, and it will give water to 42 Union Councils in the district, including Kotha Kalan, Lakhan, hak Jalal u Din, Dhamial, and Mohi. He stated that work on the ring road would commence soon.
