Consultant’s Bid Approved for Airport Metro Bus Project

The city officials of Islamabad approved the consultant firm’s bid for the Peshawar Mor to Islamabad International Airport metro bus project (IIA).

In addition to developing the project, the company will oversee the construction of the track.

The CDA board approved the joint venture of an international and local consulting firm’s Rs36 million bid.

Now that the corridors and stations of the metro track have been built, the project’s soft components, such as the installation of the ticketing system, station administration, cleanliness and security system, must be implemented.

In the meantime, it was determined that the CDA will receive funds from the federal government under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP). The government has budgeted Rs300 million for the CDA for the fiscal year 2020-21.

The Punjab Masstransit Authority, which operates the Rawalpindi-Islamabad Metro Bus Service, similarly refused to operate buses on this track.
