CPEC Parliamentary Committee for Expedited Development in Gwadar
Sher Ali Arbab, chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), remarked in a meeting that no effort should be spared in constructing infrastructure and providing basic utilities in Gawadar as part of the CPEC framework, according to news reports.

The chairman of the committee urged the appropriate authorities to compensate people of Gwadar who have lost their means of subsistence, homes, and lands as a result of ongoing development activities.
Chairman Arbab further remarked that efforts pertaining to clean water, energy, and infrastructure must be done expeditiously for the benefit of the Gwadar populace.
The aviation division secretary informed the committee that the Gwadar Airport will be operational by September 2023.

Similarly, the chairman of the Gwadar Port Authority noted that curriculum development for the soon-to-be-completed (December 2021) Pak-China Technical and Vocational Institute is currently under discussion with technical boards and the Chinese side.
