Crackdown Against Illegal Housing Scheme in Twin Cities
Islamabad: To prevent civilians from falling into the traps of dishonest developers, the Chief Commissioner Office of Islamabad has ordered the necessary authorities to initiate a crackdown on all illegal housing plans in the capital city.

After receiving many complaints from the stakeholders, the commissioner issued the directions.
According to the instruction, the involved departments cannot permit developers of housing schemes to promote, advertise, or sell plots without first obtaining a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
Also, it was indicated that advertising and selling housing projects without a NOC is prohibited.
The Chief Commissioner office has also requested that the pertinent departments launch an awareness campaign for the general public to stop them from falling into similar traps as a response to this.

Also, individuals should check with RDA and CDA to confirm the legality of any housing scheme before entering into any such agreements.
The agency has also instructed the relevant ministries to demand proof that content publishers and printers checked the legitimacy of housing proposals before printing or publishing it.
