DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The district administration of Dera Ismail Khan has taken enforcement action against six housing schemes that were operating without the required No Objection Certificates (NOCs).
The action covered housing developments located along CRBC Road, Bannu Road and Diyal Road. Authorities removed and demolished various unauthorised structures, including boundary walls, entrance gates, access roads and other infrastructure associated with the schemes.
The administration has also stopped the sale, purchase and transfer of plots in the identified housing schemes. The restrictions are intended to prevent further transactions while the legal and approval status of the developments remains unresolved.

Officials have warned members of the public to check the approval status of a housing scheme before purchasing a plot. In particular, buyers have been advised to verify the relevant NOC and other legal documents with the concerned authorities rather than relying solely on advertisements or claims made by scheme sponsors.
The action also highlights the risks associated with investing in housing developments before the required approvals are obtained. Physical infrastructure such as gates, boundary walls and roads does not by itself establish that a housing scheme has received regulatory approval.
For existing buyers, the restrictions on sale, purchase and transfer could create difficulties if they need to sell or transfer their plots. Their position may depend on the legal status of the individual scheme and any further directions issued by the authorities.

The district administration has indicated that enforcement against unauthorised housing developments will continue. Further action could follow if other schemes are found to be operating without the required approvals.
The development serves as a reminder for property buyers in Dera Ismail Khan to conduct due diligence before making payments. Checking the NOC, approved layout plan, ownership records and transaction permissions can help buyers understand the legal position of a housing scheme before committing their funds.
