Details Shared on Developments Schemes Launched in Rawalpindi
According to published reports, 500 schemes totaling PKR 86.9 billion would be launched in the Rawalpindi Division, 430 of which have been approved and the rest are in the planning stages.

The unidentified Commissioner Office official revealed that 361 activities were accepted under the Annual Development Programme (ADP). It included both 264 new initiatives and 96 current ones.
33 for Highway Division, 72 for Building Division, 5 for Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA), 50 for Local Government and Community Development, 12 for RC Division, 4 for Sports Department, 5 for Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), 29 for Public Health, one small dam project, and 8 for several departments including Tourism, Wildlife, Parks and Horticultural Authority (PHA), Allied Hospitals, and Technical Education (TEVTA).
During a meeting of the Divisional Development Working Group (DWP), the Commissioner of the Rawalpindi Division, Syed Gulzar Hussain Shah, instructed the relevant authorities to conduct periodic reviews of development projects to maintain their high quality. During the meeting, the commissioner also approved three Building Department projects, three WASA projects, and one Highway Division project.

In addition, according to the spokesman, WASA has submitted other projects, including the installation of sewer lines in Union Councils 21 to 29, drainage and sewer line projects in Union Councils 1 to 12, and Union Councils 36 and 37. Another project submitted for approval was the maintenance and upgrade of the Satellite Town and adjacent region sewerage system.
