Dinshaw B. Avari Road Inaugurated by CM
On Monday in Karachi, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah and Bahram Avari inaugurated the Dinshaw B. Avari Road. The road from Keamari Bridge to Khamees Gate in Keamari was developed for approximately $40 million.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Shah, the Administrator of Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Bahram D. Avari and his extended family, and other prominent members of the Parsi community. The Dinshaw B. Avari road connects Karachi, particularly its industrial neighborhoods, to the harbor. The prime minister added, “Its improvement in all aspects is crucial for the smooth and rapid movement of freight traffic to and from Pakistan.” In addition, he stated that the road’s poor condition caused lengthy delays and traffic congestion.

The CM stated that the Sindh government was enhancing KMC, which included restoring the existing track and the drainage infrastructure. These hassles were the primary reason for the deterioration of the roads. The road is barely two kilometers long, but its improvement has revolutionized the region for a variety of purposes.
Murad Ali Shah also stated that the Sindh government has invested 1,400 million rupees in the development of a road from Mai-Kolachi to Y-Junction. A cost of around Rs.650 million for the development of the ‘Manora Beach Front,’ Rs.500 million for the Mason road, and Rs.1037 million for the building of SITE roads in 15 distinct regions.
