Draft Agreement Approved by KP for Swat Motorway Phase 2
PESHAWAR: According to sources, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa approved the draft agreement for Swat Motorway Phase 2 on Thursday (January 13). This contract was sanctioned in accordance with the public-private partnership funding model. Phase 2 of the 80-kilometer-long Swat Motorway would be constructed from Chakdara Interchange to Maydan Fatehpur, according to the project’s specifications.

According to several reports, the initial configuration of the highway is anticipated to include four lanes. However, it is anticipated that it will eventually be enlarged to six lanes. Additionally, four rest spots will be constructed in various areas near the Swat River. This project will also involve the construction of nine interchanges and eight significant bridges. Authorities utilized Section IV of the Land Purchase Act of 1894 to assure the timely acquisition of land for the project.
