ECNEC Approval Referred for Kharian-Pindi Motorway Project
In a meeting led by the Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission, Mr. Jehanzaib Khan, the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) discussed the Kharian-Rawalpindi Motorway project with the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) for approval.

The CDA approved 13 billion PKR worth of development initiatives for CDWP-approved projects. Higher Education Commission (HEC), physical planning and housing, governance, and transportation and communication sectors were represented in the projects submitted for assessment during the meeting.

According to the sources, the Punjab Tourism Committee authorized the Economic Growth Project in the amount of 8.52 billion Pakistani rupees (PKR). In addition, PKR 108.41 billion Kharian-Rawalpindi to ECNEC was referred for more scrutiny. They also addressed projects in Jhelum, Gujrat, and Rawalpindi districts. The National Highway Administration (NHA) will carry out the project.
