In order for lawmakers, the media, and others to witness how an electronic voting system operates, the Ministry of Science and Technology will also instal it in Parliament House. A technical officer will be stationed next to the device to respond to inquiries from the press and lawmakers.

“Look at what transpired during the most recent elections in Karachi and elsewhere. Because the ballots were lost, it required an extra day to declare the results. Every election has such mishaps, but electronic voting machines will eliminate them, the minister continued.
