Establishment of New IT tower Proposed for Lahore
According to news sources, the Punjab government plans to construct a new information technology (IT) tower in Lahore. For the development of a new IT tower in Lahore, the Knowledge Park and the Ravi Riverfront Urban Development (RRUD) projects have been proposed as potential locations.

According to rumours, preparations are already in motion to construct a new IT tower in Lahore, for which the search for a suitable location would be completed shortly. Originally, the proposed skyscraper was to be constructed behind the Arfa Karim Tower; however, the plan was scrapped in favour of a 1,000-bed hospital.
According to the disclosed information, the proposed IT tower would be constructed in collaboration with China. In this context, the government has already received a survey of probable places.
The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has updated the design of the under-construction Gulab Devi underpass, which is expected to reduce the project’s cost.

According to various accounts, the position of the loop, which is now inverted before ascending the Lahore Bridge, has been altered. The new site of the loop would prevent the acquisition of 2.5 kanals of land worth PKR 60 million.
In addition, the design and construction phases are advancing rapidly, and underpass wall piling has begun. The authorities are making arrangements for the Punjab chief minister, Sardar Usman Buzdar, to visit the construction site in the near future to obtain an update on the project.
