EU-Pakistan Business Forum to Be Launched Soon to Promote Trade
According to public media sources, the European Union (EU)-Pakistan Business Forum for Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) would shortly be launched in Islamabad in an effort to encourage commerce.

According to the shared information, the forum will be inaugurated by the European Union (EU) delegation to Pakistan, and the launch will be attended by representatives of local SMEs from various industries, including information technology, jewelry and mining, fashion-wear, tourism and travel, gems, and handicrafts.
In addition, the event will offer opportunity to enhance the Generalized System of Preferences Plus (GSP+). It is anticipated that the aforementioned program will encourage more European firms to import, attract additional EU investment, and promote international sustainability norms. In addition, the forum will assess the impact of COVID-19 on international commerce and encourage enterprises to take use of GSP.

It is important to note that GSP+ is a unique trading arrangement that grants developing nations privileged access to European markets by eliminating tariffs on their products. In exchange, these nations must implement 27 treaties pertaining to environmental preservation, labor rights, good governance, and human rights.
