Evaluation of Firms Begins for 7th Avenue Interchange
Islamabad: The much-delayed 7th Avenue Interchange project has begun the process of proposal review.

Near Aabpara, at the intersection of 7th Avenue, Khayaban-i-Soharwardi, and Srinagar Highway, the interchange will be built.
Construction companies’ technical bids were launched by the CDA on February 18. The civic organization is currently assessing the businesses before launching the financial bids.

The competitors are: National Logistics Cell (NLC), Habib Construction Company (who just built the G-7, G-8 junction), and the partnership of Maaksons, Calson, and Maqbool Associates.
A cloverleaf with four left and right loops would be the shape of the 7th Avenue Interchange. An underpass will connect the two sections of Khayaban-i-Soharwardi.
The CDA announced multiple times that the project would begin in 2008, but each time it was brought before the CDA-DWP, the latter objected.
However, the PC-1 was authorized and the CDA called for bids at the DWP meeting in October of last year.
