Exclusion of Intrusions in Battagram Bazaar Sought
Battagram: Residents of the district urged that an operation be started to clear encroachments off the Karakoram Highway, which runs past the Battagram main bazaar.
A civil society member named Mohammad Irfan Khan informed the concerned officials that there was no room for people to walk in the main bazaar because sellers had taken over the footpaths.

Pedestrians are now required to use the road because of stalls that have been set up on the sidewalks, according to Abid Khan, the owner of a pharmacy.
The district administration allegedly hesitated to take action against the intruders because they had political connections, according to local Naseem Khan Swati. He claimed that despite the district government being aware of the illegal activity, people had built high-rise structures alongside the Nendhyar River.

They urged that the district government start a nondiscriminatory anti-encroachment campaign.
Here, it is important to note that the Supreme Court has mandated that the government clear encroachments along waterways within 200 metres.
