Exports to China Rose by 31 Percent Says Dawood

Abdul Razak Dawood, a trade and investment adviser to the prime minister, said Pakistan’s exports to China had increased by 31% in the past nine months.

In a series of tweets on Sunday, Dawood shared details of his performance.

“Phase 2 of the Free Trade Agreement (FTA-II) between Pakistan and China entered into force on 1 January 2020. Announced a 31% increase to $1,951 million from $1,491 million in the same period.

“Exports increased her $459 million during this period. This shows that our FTA-II is working, and the credit goes to the exporters. I encourage exporters to actively take advantage of the preferential tariffs of Free Trade Agreement II.
